I had begun looking into the Louisville Metro Police Department, whose officers shot and killed Breonna Taylor. I co-reported, shot, produced and edited the piece, which resulted in the mayor, the police department, and the county attorney all vowing to change policy when it comes to handling families of those shot by police.
